Mark Series (Term 3)

Studying Mark

This term, for the first half, we’ll be continuing our series Mark on Sundays and in our growth groups.

Mark is the incredible story of Jesus, told in a very vivid way. One writer calls it “the gospel on steroids”. Mark helps us reflect more deeply on who Jesus is and what it means to follow him.

EQUIP Nights (for women)

A great night for women bible study leaders, and all those wanting to disciple women better. Last time was excellent, so we’ll get the train in together, and then have some cars in Newtown for a quicker trip on the way back.

7:00pm
The Word of God: what, why & how?

We all know the Bible is central to do everything we do, but exactly why? How does the word of God in our Bibles relate to the word of God in Jesus? How does the Bible shape our weekly groups? And does it matter whether we call our groups ‘growth groups’ or ‘life groups’ or ‘bible study groups’?

The Word of God & Pastoral Care in Growth Groups

9:00pm Finish (sharp)

Parenting Seminar

9:00 am09:00

Parenting Seminar

At Engadine Anglican, 9am - 3pm.

Cost $30/couple or $20/person. ( see below for payment options)

Jesus told a parable in Matthew 7 where he explains how every person builds their home on some sort of foundation. The question is: will you be like the foolish person and build your home on the sand, or will you be like the wise person and build your home on the rock? If you’re a parent (or even a grandparent), when it comes to your home, you need a solid foundation for raising your kids. That’s why we are excited to stream Foundations of a Godly Home, a new video conference taught by pastor and best-selling author Paul David Tripp. He will help us implement the beliefs, values, words, and actions that are necessary for a Godly home that can last for generations.
Questions: Mark and Carly Kennedy 0416 317 399 or kenno.mark@gmail.com

Payment can be made electronically into our church general fund:
Name of Account: St Georges Anglican Parish Engadine
BSB: 032 153
Account: 266 439
Reference of your 1st initial and surname then 'parenting'
Alternatively you can pay at the office, put your name and 'parenting course' on an envelope with the money inside and pop it into the giving box at church or you can pay on the day.
