Craft and Chat

A special all day Craft & Chat! 9.30am to 4.30pm

BYO craft or stage 2" Intro to patchwork."

This time we will be doing 1/2 square triangles which is a basic block used in many other designs, and traditional blocks.

What to bring for patchwork

* fabric:  the easiest is to use what is called "charm squares ". (fabric companies make these ,Moda being one company 42--- 5" square all from the same fabric line so a mix of colours and patterns } you can get them at most patchwork shops an online store that has pretty good prices "the Stitches Cupboard " I plan to go there before the 10th to save the cost of postage you could have a look at the website and see under precuts .If there is one you want me to get let me know ASP. You could use one and then match with a plain colour or just use the charm pack but will need light fabric or a contrast doesn't have to be dark just a contrast. Any questions give me a call. Alternately you could use a few fat 1/4,s or scrap fabric cut into 5" squares accuracy is important. I will bring rotary cutter, ruler and mat it's much easier than scissors,

* general sewing equipment eg scissors needles pins thread.

 * a ruler and pencil or fabric pen.

The method we are using can be done by hand or sewing  machine I will have mine set up to use or feel free to bring your own. I have a project that you can do.

Bring your lunch. Morning and afternoon tea provided.
