This policy is intended to establish and clarify expectations about how we collect personal information, who has access to that information and for what purpose. It also outlines our commitment to keeping your information secure and how you can retain control over your information.

There are three primary ways we collect personal information
1. Bulletin tear off response slip
2. Registration to various events and groups.
3. 'My Details' form (found on 'partnership' brochure)

Bulletin tear off Response Slip

If you give some personal information on the 'tear off response slip', that information will be used to respond to your inquiry or feedback. Your information will not be distributed outside the lay leadership and staff teams unless you have specifically requested this (eg: by ticking 'update my details').

Registration to various events and groups

When you register for particular events and / or groups (eg: Men's Conference, Gingerbread House Event, or Kids Plus), your information will be available only to the organisers of that group.

'My Details' Form

The personal information submitted through the 'my details' form will be used to communicate with you in line with our Church mission and vision. It will also be distributed to other Church members upon request and published in a printed Church directory available to any Church member. If you mark any piece of information 'Leaders Only' - then that piece of information will be withheld from general members of the congregation and from the printed Church directory and only made available to the staff and the Lay Leadership team from your congregation. If you are on a Church roster, your first name and last initial may be published on our Church website unless you request otherwise.

Security and Control of your Information

We take seriously the integrity and privacy of your personal information. Your information will be stored on password protected computers at the Church office(1). It will never be sold or disclosed to any other organisation or used for personal gain or commercial use. You are entitled at any time to see the personal information we hold about you and to have that information deleted from our system in part or in whole. Please make such requests direct to the office in writing to: eac@eac.org.au or PO Box 29, Engadine NSW 2233.

Notes: (1) The information you give to register for groups and events may be stored differently, and the security of this information is the responsibility of the individual group or event organisers.
