An opportunity to hear more about what Tim Griffiths and Sam Begg will be doing as ministry apprentices, pray for them, and consider how you might be able to partner with them as we share in the mission of Jesus. We would love to see you there!
What’s happening in 2021?
Tim Griffiths and Sam Begg will be undertaking Ministry Apprenticeships with Tim at Engadine + Heathcote Anglican and Sam at the Australian National University in Canberra.
Why MTS?
Under Christ, our mission at HEAC is to be disciples who make disciples. This is why, for the glory of Jesus, we prayerfully long to BUILD UP and REACH OUT both locally and even globally.
Our church has a long history of sending workers throughout the world to spread the gospel. As a church, we want to continue to raise up workers for gospel ministry because our world has such a great need for Jesus. But as we send people out, it is important that we send them trained and equipped for the task.
What is MTS?
The Ministry Training Strategy (MTS) is a two-year apprenticeship designed to train disciples for full time gospel ministry. An apprenticeship approach makes good sense. Not only is it grounded on important biblical principles but also on active participation in evangelism, bible teaching and discipleship, all under the leadership of a trainer. As ministry is conducted in relationship, a two-year apprenticeship enables real learning, real experience and real relationships to develop, the value of which could never be captured or repeated in a classroom context.
