Morning Church Weekend Away 2025
Engadine Anglican Morning Church Weekend Away 19-21 September 2025
In 2025, we will be moving our Weekend Away to Wollongong Surf Leisure Resort. This site offers similar facilities and setting to what we're used to at Gerroa (caravan/camping/cabin options; swimming pool; beach access), but with enough cabins and sites to accommodate our growing congregation.
Sign up to indicate your accommodation preferences, and pay your $100 deposit to church to reserve a spot in the group booking.
We've also opted to have WSLR cater for us, and in return, they've offered some discounted prices for accommodation. However, that means we need to make a group booking, rather than individual bookings. And that's where this form comes in.
There are several accommodation options, at various prices. Please use the form to indicate your preferences and to be included in our group booking, keeping in mind that catering will be a further $90/adult and $45/child, additional to the accommodation selected. For most people, this should still work out cheaper than our current arrangements at Gerroa (perhaps even significantly so!).
Accommodation will be allocated when and as deposits of $100 are received by Engadine Anglican Church.

Note on desserts :)
If you are able to bring a dessert - it would greatly help the kitchen team, if you could bring it cut up into small pieces, by 7:15pm, in a named or disposable container. That way the kitchen team can easily put all the desserts into the mixed dessert boxes for the tables.
We’ll have a separate serving table for those who need GF desserts.
Yummy desserts!

Working Bee at Engadine
It’s time for an “autumn” clean of our Engadine site! A fun and productive time of fellowship.
Coordinator: Ian Campbell.

Evergreen Build Up
Our guest speaker Jack Normand is speaking on making the most of our lives in this season, to build up and reach out.
Join us for encouraging Bible teaching, and fellowship over morning tea.
What is Evergreen?
John 15:5 – “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing.”
Evergreen
Jesus calls us to be fruitful and to continuously grow, to be evergreen. We can only do this by remaining in Him and He in us.
Our Vision & Mission
For the glory of Jesus, we build up each other and we reach out to the world, through God’s word and prayer.
In every season of life, we are given unique opportunities to build up one another and reach out to those we love who desperately need Jesus.
Evergreen is designed specifically for those who are nearing retirement or are already in that season of life. Even now, Jesus continues to call us to bear much fruit. Friends, many of you are already living this out. My hope is to bring a bit more structure, coordination, and support, so that we can continue to serve and grow together.
Yours faithfully,
John Lee

Women's Brunch
Hospitality: it’s not what you think!
Hebrews 13:2: "Don't neglect to show hospitality, for by doing this some have welcomed angels as guests without knowing it."
We commonly think of hospitality as synonymous with ‘entertaining’. But the Bible tells a much deeper story. From God’s view point, what exactly is ‘hospitality’ and why is it so important?
Meet Christine
Our Brunch is a great chance to have time with women from across our parish, and ‘launch’ our year of ministry together. We’ll also meet & pray for Christine Knobbs who’s joining our ministry team just for 2025.
Program
From 8:00 Doors open
8:30-9 Welcome! Brunch at tables (bircher muesli, muffins, fruit, hot and cold drinks)
9-10 ‘Build up’
Fun at tables (Jenny Follett)
God & Hospitality (Short talk by Sarah Rathsam)
Hospitality & Us (Reflections by Christine Knobbs and Carly Kennedy)
